17th arrondissement

It is Wednesday morning in Paris. Happy Birthday to Karen Kiesel!

Outside it is raining so we have not done our walk in the park.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon strolling around our neighborhood which has lots of interesting things to look at.
going out the door
This stationary store had some interesting window displays with paper paint brushes all set up like a colored pencil box.

This is the street it is on...I wonder how they identify foreign cars??

Just up the street is this colorful flower shop.

This part of the neighborhood has all sorts of paint stores and wallpaper stores so I think they are more focused on color.
I decided to take some pictures of the publicites I was seeing...some of them from the bus and others in the frames that change every few minutes. Here are some that caught my eye.

Walking all the way down rue Legendre you come to rue Levis which is a really cute street for walking with all sorts of little shops and outdoor markets.
I think these chairs and tables at the cafe really stand out.

Here are a few of the shops:
A wine shop

Flower stand

Provencale products

A produce shop...love the name

And this nail salon...can you see all the nail polish bottles lined up on the wall? The other walls are the same.

Walking back over the bridge near rue de Rome this "ear" sculpture was on the wall.

We were invited to dinner with a former classmate of JC so we took the bus again. Here is the bus stop near the Printemps department store. I liked the ad on the side of the building.

We had a nice dinner and this was what was served for dessert...a gelee de fruits rouges. YUM!!!

Here is a thought for the day:
Have a good one!
